Kimono tailoring takes 3-5 weeks. Fees start at 26,000 yen; semi formal types, at 27,000 yen for long-sleeved kimono; yukata at 14,000 yen. Our kimono service is not limited to sales. In addition to washing and resizing, we also hold kimono dressing classes (6,000 yen for four sessions in a month).
The first floor is our showroom, and the second floor is the studio for dressing classes and more.

All ingredients are carefully selected, each according to its final product and, as much as possible, use of additives is limited. Our sweets are mild and easy to eat for small children or the elderly. Respectful of, but not bound by tradition, we always come up with new styles to match the times. Our fluffy “Soshigaya Cream Roll” (925 yen tax not included) is a specialty of our shop. We also recommend our “Setouchi Lemon Cake” (200 yen plus tax) and “Kuzuko Chocolate Cookies” (100 yen plus tax).

Our third-generation chef/owner, is a lecturer at a vocational school and speaks to professionals nationwide at more than 20 seminars per year. Our shop produces traditional cakes and decorations for the media and celebrity birthdays. We offer general confectionery classes for beginners and advanced confectioners, customizing curricula to match skill levels, number of participants and budgets.

I am the third-generation owner of this restaurant that my grandfather opened in 1955. Over 80 percent of our customers are regulars, with some continuing their grandparents’ dining tradition. Until ten years ago, we had employed cooks from China, but now, our Japanese cook takes great care to craft each dish one at a time. Our menu is child-friendly.
Okadaya flavor has come down through the generations
Classic dumplings are made without using garlic. The former owner has since left the kitchen but comes in regularly to taste for consistency. The thick, delicious wrappings are specially ordered from the factory. Dumplings are 400 yen for a five-piece order.

We carefully season our items so that you can enjoy them every day. Several dishes use fewer spices that are easy on the palate. Some of our trendier items such as sour hot noodles add spice to your day.
